After a virus wipes out most of the planet, a handful of survivors try to save the human race from extinction
Suprisingly good horror film and a film that saw the return of the genre to British shores (this and dog soldiers). The opening of the film is among the most memorable in any horror movie, a coma victim wakes up and wanders the desolate streets. The cinematography is brilliant at this point, emphasising the effects "The Rage" a deadly virus has had on Britains population. Unfortunately, the film loses focus and towards the end it is more of action movie than horror. However it does go to show that man's enemy is not nessecarily the virus, it is man himself. That said the film is far from perfect, and the tangent ending does have an impact on the effectiveness of the film. However, it is still one of the best horror movies of recent years, and certainly one of the best british horror films. For Zombie fans a must.
