Comment A great film, mascarading as a quirky comic horror and confusing many viewers, this cannibal flick is actually much more than the sum of its parts, and at its soul its a commentary on society and morality. Guy Pearce plays an abject coward, and the hero, whilst Robert Carlyle plays an outwardly bold survivor, and the bad guy.
This has been called everything from vegan propaganda, to the best cannibal movie created, to social commentary, to a comic horror.. whilst it didn't do overly well on release its become quite a cult hit.
