11.07.05 - It bites... Jaws Remake?
Unbelivable, scratch another 70s movie off the list of films that haven't been remade... after the pillaging of some pretty famous if not brilliant movies (although when two of the originals that have been raped and pillaged are Texas Chain Saw and Wickerman brilliant is an understatement), it seems Jaws may very well be remade. I really don't know if a CGI shark is any better than a plastic shark, and given the crappiness of the sequels, why bother touch upon this material again at all?
Quote:
Steven Spielberg recently gave an interview in which he talked about the rumored Jaws remake. "Jaws isn't solidified in gold or anything,? the director said, ?and there was plans what seemed like years ago to re-release it with renewed special effects following the success of Jurassic Park.? On whether or not he would like to be involved, Spielberg said, ?It's something I wouldn't instantly discount - Hitchcock remade his own film with The Man Who Wasn't There and ended up, in my opinion, making a superior film the second time round.?
